The Waldorf Hilton

Immersive sound design, composition and consultancy.

Sound design and immersive audio for the refurbishment of the legendary London hotel. Discreetly blended soundscapes draw on historical references and the hotel’s past to create a contemporary, premium ambience throughout. The audio is designed in harmony with The Waldorf’s new interiors, responding to the materials, lighting, and spatial qualities to deliver an immersive yet unobtrusive guest experience.

As part of the process, the music of Howard Godfrey and His Waldorfians - the hotel’s iconic 1920s house band - is reimagined for today. This demonstrates music’s creative power to curate atmosphere using a bespoke approach that crafts brand identity and creates unique experiences. You can listen to my reinterpretation of his song ‘Can this be love?’ via the Soundcloud link.
